Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Electrical/Power Monitoring and Controls System Engineer (EPMS/PMS) with data centre experience to lead design and delivery across projects. You will collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers, architects, and clients to drive innovative, compliant solutions.

Travel nationally and internationally as needed, with a hybrid work model. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills, and a track record in EPMS/controls

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering with building services bias preferred.
• Member of a professional body (IET/CIBSE); CEng is a plus.
• Proven track record delivering EPMS/controls designs across architectures.
• Data centre design experience or exposure to the sector.
• Full driving licence and passport; willing to travel regionally and internationally.
• Security clearance will be required for some projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and oversee contractor implementation of EPMs across architectures.
• Engage with clients, architects, M&E teams, contractors, and senior management.
• Manage complex projects from feasibility to reporting and bid analysis.
• Conduct surveys, FAT/SAT tests; provide reports and training.
• Mentor EPMS/PMS team and contribute to innovations in smart building tech.
• Promote SH&E best practices and ensure compliance.
• Support integration of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Occasionally travel nationally to project sites and offices.
