Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director in Cost Intelligence and Estimating to lead high-quality estimating, benchmarking, and cost analysis across major infrastructure programmes. You will provide technical leadership from early business cases through procurement and delivery, while growing client relationships and guiding junior staff.

You will shape bids, drive value, mentor a team, and collaborate with PMCM and Civil Infrastructure and Utilities to win strategic opportunities across the UK.

Qualifications

• MRICS or equivalent commercial qualification.
• Extensive experience in water or energy sectors, including estimating and benchmarking at various design stages and with digital tools.
• Senior-level cost/commercial management experience, with business case development and investment appraisal.
• Ability to mentor and grow a team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across large programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivering high-quality estimating, cost intelligence and benchmarking services for major programmes.
• Provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle from early business cases to delivery.
• Build trusted client relationships, shape and win new opportunities, and grow WSP’s presence.
• Develop the team through mentoring and technical leadership.
• Collaborate across PMCM and Civil Infrastructure and Utilities groups.
