Job summary

AZTRUM is seeking an Associate Director in Leicester to lead civil and structural projects and provide technical direction. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio—from commercial to education—while mentoring engineers and coordinating design teams.

You will drive project delivery, ensure quality and safety, and build strong client relationships in a growing consultancy. Hybrid working and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 9 years post-graduate experience.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartership through IStructE or ICE.
• Strong design and structural analysis experience across steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Proven experience leading and coordinating design teams.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural design across a varied portfolio of projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
• Ensure projects are delivered to programme and deadlines.
• Build long-term client relationships and liaise with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Review and produce technical reports, calculations and project documentation.
