AZTRUM in North Yorkshire is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design projects across a varied portfolio, ensuring delivery to programme and standards. You will supervise complex designs, review calculations and support junior engineers in a collaborative office environment.

With 4–9 years of consultancy experience and a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, you will ideally be a Chartered Engineer or working toward Chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4–9 years of relevant consultancy experience.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards Chartership with ICE/IStructE.
• Strong proficiency in reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Experience reviewing calculations and AutoCAD drawings.
• Familiar with Tekla and related engineering design software.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from design to completion, ensuring delivery to programme and standards.
• Oversee and check complex structural designs, calculations and engineering solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in reinforced concrete and steel structures, foundations and wider structural works.
• Review structural designs and AutoCAD drawings for accuracy and coordination.
• Support civil elements of projects, including drainage design and earthworks.
• Use Tekla and other design software for analysis and modeling.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their work to develop capabilities.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and consultants to deliver coordinated designs.
• Contribute to a varied portfolio across residential, commercial, industrial, educational and waste management sectors.
