Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate Director – Asset Management, Electricity Networks to join its Energy team in Leeds. You will lead asset management and advisory work for electricity transmission and distribution clients, shaping strategies and investment decisions.

This role combines technical expertise with data and digital capability, offering opportunities to develop new services and collaborate across WSP's Energy and Digital capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Asset Management or a related discipline.
• Strong experience within electricity transmission and/or distribution networks.
• Good technical understanding of electricity networks and assets.
• Asset management experience (strategy, lifecycle, health, risk, maintenance or investment planning).
• Understanding of asset data and digital technologies for decision-making.
• Experience leading projects and working with clients.
• Strong communication and commercial skills; able to contribute to proposals.
• Collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset; interest in new services and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver asset management and advisory assignments for transmission and distribution clients.
• Advise on asset strategy, lifecycle planning, health, risk and investments.
• Help clients use asset information and data to improve decisions.
• Develop digital and data-led asset management solutions, including analytics and AI.
• Identify opportunities to create new services and solutions.
• Build client relationships and support business development.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with WSP Energy, T&D, Power Systems and Digital teams.
