Role Overview

The Associate Commercial Finance Director role is based in London, with global responsibilities. You will share oversight of a portfolio of global clients, supporting the senior Commercial team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide commercial thought leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making support.
  2. Lead the business through the commercial landscape to achieve profitable growth.
  3. Understand advertising production, explore new business opportunities, and innovate processes.
  4. Take on FD-like responsibilities within client leadership teams, including budgeting, P&L ownership, and analysis.
  5. Present strategic plans, budgets, forecasts, and results to senior management.
  6. Develop client relationships and collaborate with account teams to optimize finance interactions.
  7. Lead contract negotiations, renewals, and ensure contractual compliance.
  8. Develop pricing strategies and support account teams in innovating new business models.
  9. Assist in preparing and presenting new business proposals and commercial strategies.
  10. Coordinate globally to ensure decision-making is optimal and locally sensitive, with some out-of-hours commitments.
Reporting & Stakeholders
  • Reports to: Global Head of Commercial and Pricing (London-based).
  • Works closely with: Global Commercial Finance, Operations, Client Management, and New Business teams.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience in a commercial financial role within a relevant industry or professional services, with multi-country exposure.
  • Strong project management and financial modelling skills.
  • Operational awareness and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Ambitious, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
