Associate Civil/Structural Engineer

Location: Heathrow Airport, TW6

Salary: £75k-£90k

Overview

As part of Heathrow's Net Zero strategy, the entire power supply is set to be upgraded over the coming years. The site will be fed from the National Grid via a complex substation network.

Could you be the person to lead a small on-site civil and structural design team working alongside UKPN for this exciting project?

About the Role

You will be employed by a dynamic and creative design consultancy that has been awarded this project. Your role involves leading their on-site design team based at Heathrow.

The firm is a financially robust practice with many major clients. The current team at Heathrow includes three design engineers and two technicians, with plans to expand.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the detailed design of new substations
• Develop and manage the design team
• Carry out business development for future projects
• Build and maintain client relationships

Candidate Requirements

• Chartered status with MICE or MIStructE
• Strong civil/structural design background, including experience with substation projects
• Proven leadership and project management skills
• Excellent relationship-building abilities
