Job summary

Altura Search is seeking an Associate Building Surveyor in Birmingham to help lead project delivery for a well-established consultancy. You will manage contracts, dilapidations, and due diligence while coordinating multi-project workloads up to £5m.

The role focuses on client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-quality services across education, commercial, healthcare, and retail sectors, with a hybrid in-office arrangement.

• MRICS qualified with strong experience in project delivery.
• Experience leading work across sectors incl. education, commercial, healthcare, and retail.
• Confident with JCT contracts and professional services.

Associate Building Surveyor – Birmingham

This consultancy isn’t trying to be the biggest — just the best.

With a strong, long-standing presence in Birmingham, they’ve secured a huge pipeline of work from reoccurring clients across commercial, retail, healthcare, and education.

They are now opening their doors to an Associate Building Surveyor to help lead project delivery and support a close-knit team with high staff retention, where most Directors have been there 15+ years.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering contract administration, dilapidations, and technical due diligence services
• Supporting some party wall and alteration review instructions
• Managing multiple projects from inception through to completion (up to £5m)
• Acting as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Supporting junior team members and contributing to performance at Associate level

What they’re looking for:

• MRICS qualified with strong experience in project delivery
• Comfortable leading work across sectors incl. education, commercial, healthcare, and retail
• Confident with JCT contracts and professional services
• Personable, proactive, and able to manage client relationships
• Based within reach of Birmingham with minimal travel required
