The Assistant Relationship Banker provides direct sales support to the Senior Banker/Banker to originate new business and, in partnership with the Senior Banker/Banker, is jointly accountable for client revenues and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Senior Banker/Banker proactively with transactional support on new business activities such as client research, pitch books, industry leads, including coordination with network and product teams.
- Conduct client analysis, prepare reports on post-origination activities, document client meetings, and draft briefing notes.
- Support the Senior Banker/Banker in sales discipline processes, including Account Planning, pipeline management, client call reports, and deal approval submissions.
- Assist with deal execution, document negotiations, coordinate with Product Sales and Client Management teams on documentation, deal drawdowns, fee bookings, and revenue recognition.
- Manage the portfolio proactively by engaging with clients and product partners to ensure limit utilization and accuracy of revenue and returns.
- Provide direct support for all origination activities within the assigned client portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Senior Banker/Banker to ensure joint accountability for client revenues and profitability through support in origination activities.
- Assist with client research, meeting preparation, pitch book creation, and industry trend analysis, ensuring high-quality, client-focused materials by coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Perform bespoke client analyses, including competitor analysis comparing SCB’s value proposition against peers, and complete necessary reporting and documentation.
- Coordinate with Product Sales and network teams to assist with deal return calculations and pricing analysis.
- Ensure compliance with sales discipline requirements, supporting Account Planning, pipeline management, and call report administration as per the Banker’s guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Economics, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
- Previous banking experience.
- Risk & AML certification as stipulated by bank policy.
- Proficiency in Business English.
