Job summary

RGB Recruitment is seeking an Associate Architectural Technologist for a leading AJ100 practice in the UK. The role is based from Bristol or South Hampshire and will lead technical delivery through the later RIBA stages, while overseeing small teams and providing technical leadership.

You will coordinate with architects, consultants and contractors, ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and standards, and mentor junior staff as the studios grow. A senior, hands-on technologist is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experienced Architectural Technologist with significant UK experience.
• Operating at Associate level or ready for Senior Technologist step.
• Thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations and standards.
• Strong experience in technical and construction stages of projects.

Responsibilities

Associate Architectural Technologist, South Hampshire, £50k - £55k DOE

An exciting opportunity has for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join one of the UK's leading AJ100 architectural practices at Senior Associate level, based from either Bristol or South Hampshire offices.

With multiple studios throughout the UK, this is a large, award winning practice offering the scale, resources and project exposure of a national business whilst retaining strong regional teams. Working across an incredibly varied portfolio to include commercial, residential, education, healthcare, defence, blue light, industrial & logistics, leisure, mixed-use, masterplanning and more.

Following continued growth across their southern studios and with projects increasing in both scale and complexity, they are now looking to strengthen the technical leadership with a Senior Associate Architectural Technologist who can work collaboratively across the Bristol and South Hampshire teams.

This is a genuinely senior opportunity, combining strong hands-on technical knowledge with project oversight, team management and technical leadership. You'll take responsibility for the successful technical delivery of projects, manage and support smaller teams and become a senior point of knowledge within the business, while collaborating with colleagues and expertise across the wider national practice.

The role will include:

• Building strong relationships internally and externally
• Working closely with senior leadership as the studios continue to grow
• Sharing knowledge and expertise across the wider national practice

Requirements:

• An experienced Architectural Technologist with significant UK experience
• Someone already operating at Associate level, or a strong Senior Technologist ready to make the next step
• Excellent technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of UK Building Regulations
• Strong experience across the technical and construction stages of projects
