Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Senior Architectural Technologist for its Fordingbridge studio. You will lead technical delivery from RIBA Stage 4 onwards and collaborate with Architects, Designers and Clients on a diverse portfolio including historic conservation and residential projects.

You will review technical packages, coordinate with consultants, and guide junior staff while aiming for progression toward associate level within the growing practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience within the architectural industry.
• Strong experience running and delivering architectural projects (RIBA Stage 4 onwards).
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction technology.
• Experience producing detailed technical drawings and construction information.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the technical delivery and running of projects.
• Work across a varied portfolio including Historic & Conservation, Hotels & Hospitality, Community, Care & Senior Living and Residential.
• Review, coordinate and develop technical packages for projects.
• Attend and contribute to design team and project meetings.
• Mentor junior members of the team as the practice grows.

We are currently recruiting for a talented Senior Architectural Technologist in Fordingbridge to join an award-winning AJ Top 100 architectural practice with studios across the UK, combining national expertise with strong local knowledge.

The Fordingbridge studio works across an exciting and varied portfolio, with particular experience across Historic & Conservation, Hotels & Hospitality, Community, Care & Senior Living as well as Residential projects. Project values typically range from £2m - £40m, providing the successful Senior Architectural Technologist with the opportunity to work across and take responsibility for a diverse range of technically challenging schemes.

Based from a purpose‑built studio on the edge of the New Forest, the Fordingbridge team currently consists of around 30 staff, with a long‑term growth plan in place. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Architectural Technologist with a strong technical background and proven experience running projects to take a key role within the team, with the potential to progress towards Associate level.

The successful Senior Architectural Technologist will be responsible for the technical delivery and day‑to‑day running of projects, primarily from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. You will work closely with Architects, Technologists, Designers, Consultants, Contractors and Clients, acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. There is also the opportunity to manage and mentor junior members of the team as the practice continues to grow.

• Located within a commutable distance of Fordingbridge
• Minimum 5 years' experience within the architectural industry
• Proven experience running and delivering architectural projects
• Strong experience working across RIBA Stage 4 onwards
• Strong technical knowledge and experience within an architectural practice
• Good proficiency with Revit is advantageous, with training available where required
• Experience producing detailed technical drawings and construction information
• Good knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction technology
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Confident character with the ability to take ownership of projects and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider design team
