Job summary

Stantec in Bristol is seeking an Associate Architect to lead design and delivery across a varied portfolio of projects. You will mentor teams, collaborate with engineers and planners, and drive sustainable, digitally enabled design solutions.

You will shape projects from concept to completion, manage client relationships, and help grow our national architecture presence with opportunities across the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

• ARB-registered architect with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Experience at Associate level or as a Senior Architect ready to progress.
• Strong track record delivering commercial, residential and mixed-use projects across all RIBA stages.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor juniors.
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
• Experience managing project programmes and budgets.
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM and digital workflows.
• Commitment to sustainable, innovative design.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and project delivery across varied multidisciplinary projects.
• Manage project teams and coordinate with engineers, planners and landscape architects.
• Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Support work-winning activities including bids and presentations.
• Oversee programmes, quality, budgets and resourcing for projects.
• Mentor junior architects and architectural assistants to develop high-performing teams.
• Contribute to sustainable, innovative design approaches across projects.
