Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Architect for our National Architecture team in Bristol. You will provide technical and design leadership across diverse projects, leading client relationships and project teams from concept to completion.

You’ll mentor junior architects, drive sustainable design and contribute to growth across the Southwest and nationally. This role offers a hybrid working pattern and opportunities to engage international commissions.

Qualifications

• ARB registered Architect with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Experience at Associate level or Senior Architect ready to progress.
• Experience delivering commercial, residential and mixed-use projects through all RIBA work stages.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methodologies.
• Experience managing project programmes, budgets and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and project delivery across RIBA stages.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams across sectors.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners and environmental specialists.
• Build and maintain client relationships; act as trusted advisor.
• Support bids, presentations and client engagement.
• Oversee programmes, budgets, quality and technical excellence.
• Mentor and develop junior architects and assistants.
• Champion sustainable and digitally enabled design.
• Contribute to national and international opportunities.
