Job summary

Abselion in Cambridge, UK, is seeking an Associate Application Scientist. This entry-level role blends hands-on lab work with direct customer interaction, split between developing new Amperia applications at the bench and supporting customers through technical conversations.

You will work with Field Application Scientists and the Sales & Marketing team, travel up to 25% to UK and international events, and join a fast-growing biotech on-site in Cambridge with a discretionary bonus and share

Qualifications

• Minimum MSc in biochemistry or related field.
• Lab experience and handling of protein samples.
• Experience with ELISA, SPR, BLI or other binding assays.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office.
• Basic knowledge of Matlab or Python is a plus.
• Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of new Amperia applications with hands-on bench work.
• Respond to and nurture inbound customer enquiries and understand workflows.
• Support customer engagement campaigns translating interest into conversations.
• Attend conferences and field events with a senior team member.
• Feed structured feedback to Science, Product and Sales teams.
