Job summary

Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. in Milton Keynes is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager / Workshop Supervisor for a busy commercial vehicle service operation. Salary £40,000 - £45,000 with annual bonus and private healthcare.

You will supervise technicians, coordinate workloads, allocate repairs and ensure high-quality workmanship while developing your management experience in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising, leading or coordinating mechanics, technicians or workshop personnel.
• Background in mechanical maintenance, vehicle servicing or repairs.
• The ability to allocate work, manage priorities and monitor job progress.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills and the confidence to support technicians with technical issues.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• An understanding of workshop health and safety, quality and productivity.
• Experience within HGVs, commercial vehicles, trailers, plant machinery or fleet maintenance would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Workshop Manager with the daily running and organisation of the workshop.
• Supervise and support a team of mechanics and technicians, maintaining productivity and high standards of workmanship.
• Allocate repair, servicing and maintenance jobs, coordinating workloads and priorities.
• Monitor job progress, identify delays and help ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.
• Provide practical and technical support to technicians, helping resolve mechanical and operational issues.
• Liaise with customers and colleagues regarding repair progress, priorities and completion dates.
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, reduce downtime and optimise resources.
