Job summary

TLC Auto Refinishing Ltd in Chobham, Surrey, is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy commercial vehicle repair workshop. You’ll oversee 15-20 operatives across Panel, Fabrication and Paint, driving productivity, quality and safety while ensuring the workshop runs smoothly.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong bodyshop experience and a proven ability to get the best from a team. You will coordinate with stores, manage schedules and monitor performance, reporting to

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workshop operations, briefings and team performance.
• Oversee Panel, Fabrication and Paint departments.
• Allocate work to meet targets and deadlines.
• Coordinate with Stores to ensure parts availability.
• Manage final quality checks and resolve issues quickly.
• Monitor timekeeping and performance via clocking systems.
• Maintain high standards of H&S, PPE and procedures.
• Drive cost-efficient operations and minimise waste.
• Report workshop performance to management.

The Opportunity

You’ll oversee 15-20 skilled operatives across Panel, Fabrication and Paint, driving productivity, quality and efficiency while ensuring the workshop operates safely and effectively.

This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone with strong bodyshop or automotive repair experience who knows how to get the best from a team.
