Job summary

OSW is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our fast-growing solar distribution team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on managing warehouse space, stock turnover, and distribution efficiency while leading warehouse staff and liaising with operations to drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities include inbound/outbound accuracy, order processing, stock reporting, forklift operation, inventory transfers, weekly stock takes, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Logistics (preferred) or min 3 years in similar role.
• Forklift licence (essential)
• Strong verbal communication skills in English at a conversational proficiency level.
• Proven working experience as a Logistics/Operations Manager
• Proficient in standard logistics software
• Knowledge of the solar industry is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate inbound/outbound distribution.
• Process and prepare orders; pack and move deliveries.
• Generate daily stock in/out reports
• Assist with loading/unloading, including forklift operation
• Manage inventory transfers between warehouses and 3PLs
• Conduct weekly stocktakes and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain inventory control and update system records
• Identify and implement warehouse efficiency improvements
• Address operational issues and complaints
• Supervise and train warehouse staff; uphold safety standards
• Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Oversee general facility, IT, and equipment management
• Manage company vehicle usage
