NHS Borders is seeking an enthusiastic Support Worker to join our Radiology team in a busy multi-modality imaging service. You will work alongside Radiographers to provide patient-centered care during radiological examinations, including preparation, chaperoning and assisting with procedures.
Candidates should have education in Health & Social Care or demonstrable equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-moving diagnostic environment.

We are seeking enthusiastic and capable Support Worker to join our dynamic Radiology team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-modality imaging service where you will work closely with Radiographers to provide high quality, patient focused care for patient’s undergoing radiological examinations.
You will have a variety of roles which include patient care duties and assisting with procedures.
You will be responsible for chaperoning examinations, cannulating patients and maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment.
It will be expected that candidates will have an education in Health & Social Care or have demonstrable evidence of competence through equivalent work experience.
Candidates will also have good verbal, reading and written communication skills and be willing to take up the challenges of learning about and working in the rapidly advancing areas of diagnostic imaging.
There will be a requirement to participate in a 7 day service, which includes evening working and weekends.
