NHS Scotland is seeking a Radiology Clerical Officer (Band 2) to provide clerical, administration and secretarial support to the Radiology service at Western Isles Hospital. The role includes scheduling, data entry into RIS, reporting distribution and general office duties in a busy radiology department.
The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week in a permanent post, with training on RIS/PACS and a requirement to be aware of radiation protection.

Band 2 £26,696 - £28,988 per annum
Plus £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Radiology department in the Western Isles Hospital. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic candidate to provide clerical, administration and secretarial support to the Radiology service.
The Radiology service provides high-quality diagnostic imaging to the population of the Western Isles, using a range of equipment and highly skilled staff.
Training for Radiology specific systems will be provided: Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS).
It is also essential that the candidate has awareness of radiation protection.
The postholder will schedule appointments of outpatients and inpatients, enter data into RIS, email/distribute reports to referrers, amend appointments, check blood results, undertake audits, answer telephone calls and answer queries, check and deal with emails regularly; this list of duties is not exhaustive.
