Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer in Clinical Physiology to join the Cardiology service at University Hospital Crosshouse, Ayrshire. You will work within a progressive multidisciplinary department to support patient care.

The 30-hour role, permanent, involves providing a 12 Lead ECG service, spirometry, 24-hour ambulatory ECG, BP setup/removal and resting Doppler measurements, with in-house training provided and driving licence desirable.

Qualifications

• ECG, spirometry, and blood pressure measurements in a clinical setting.
• Experience with Ambulatory ECG and Doppler is advantageous.
• In-house training will be provided to develop role-specific IT skills.

Position

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Technical Officer within Clinical Physiology for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within this progressive multidisciplinary department. The role provides Cardiology services within University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours And Shift Pattern

30 hour post Monday - Friday

This post is offered on a permanent basis.

What You Will Do

The post holder will provide a 12 Lead ECG service to both in-patients and out patients across all Departments. Spirometry, 24 Hour Ambulatory ECG, Blood pressure patient set up/removal and resting Doppler measurements.

Working within a caring environment, ECG and spirometry experience would be desirable, a basic understanding of an ECG is essential.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

In house training will be provided, however previous experience, patient contact and knowledge of the hospital patient management system would be advantageous.

Full UK Driving Licence: Desirable
