NHS Ayrshire & Arran in Crosshouse is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer to join the Clinical Physiology team. The role focuses on delivering Cardiology support within University Hospital Crosshouse, enabling high quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Experience in spirometry and ambulatory ECG monitoring is desirable.
  • In-house training provided; knowledge of hospital patient management system is advantageous.

  • Provide a 12‑lead ECG service for in-patients and out-patients.
  • Carry out spirometry, 24-hour ambulatory ECG, BP setup/removal and resting Doppler.
  • Work within a caring team; prior ECG knowledge helpful.

Position

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Technical Officer within Clinical Physiology for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within this progressive multidisciplinary department. The role provides Cardiology services within University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours And Shift Pattern

30 hour post Monday - Friday

This post is offered on a permanent basis.

What You Will Do

The post holder will provide a 12 Lead ECG service to both in-patients and out patients across all Departments. Spirometry, 24 Hour Ambulatory ECG, Blood pressure patient set up/removal and resting Doppler measurements.

Working within a caring environment, ECG and spirometry experience would be desirable, a basic understanding of an ECG is essential.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

In house training will be provided, however previous experience, patient contact and knowledge of the hospital patient management system would be advantageous.

Full UK Driving Licence: Desirable
