Job summary

Baltimore Consulting Limited is seeking a Team Manager for a 6-month interim contract to lead a Care Leavers service in the UK. The role offers an immediate start, a £350 daily rate, and hybrid working arrangements.

The post requires strong leadership of a multi-disciplinary team, overseeing complex cases and maintaining high standards of practice. You will drive performance, ensure statutory responsibilities are met, and foster staff development while building collaborative links with housing,

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with significant post-qualification experience within Children’s Social Care.
• Strong operational experience within Care Leavers and Looked After Children services.
• Experience of leading, supervising and developing staff performance within a social care setting.
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding frameworks and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a busy Care Leavers service, ensuring delivery of high-quality support and intervention.
• Oversee case allocation, pathway planning and performance management across the team.
• Provide supervision, coaching and professional guidance to Social Workers and Personal Advisors.
• Drive quality assurance, auditing and service improvement to promote best practice.
• Develop strong partnerships with housing, education, health and external agencies to improve outcomes for young people.
