Job summary

BDP is seeking a graduate to join its sustainability profession. The successful candidate will have a passion for sustainability in the built environment, demonstrated through qualification in a relevant subject.

They will be enthusiastic and driven to effect change through practical implementation of sustainability principles. They will join a growing team of specialist consultants delivering sustainability strategies, environmental assessment, life-cycle assessment and performance monitoring

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a graduate to join BDP’s growing sustainability profession. The successful candidate will have a passion for sustainability in the built environment, demonstrated through qualification in a relevant subject. They will be enthusiastic and driven to effect change through the practical implementation of the principles of sustainability. Some experience in design and/or architecture would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will join a growing team of specialist consultants working across all areas of the built environment. They will assist in the delivery of sustainability strategies, including environmental assessment, life-cycle assessment, and performance monitoring, for a range of projects across different sectors and scales. They will be supported by a team of specialist consultants alongside BDP’s wider design professions, including planners, interior designers, landscape architects, architects, engineers and a range of specialists.

They must have the ability to communicate effectively as well as possessing numerical, analytical and graphical skills. They will be able to work well within a team.

About you

Required:

• A relevant qualification in environmental design and/or a sustainability related subject

• To evolve and expand the knowledge of the organisation, raising the company’s profile for delivering consistently environmentally conscious places and buildings
• To ensure that the company develops and expands its environmental and sustainability services internally and externally, working to influence design proposals and lift design quality
