Job summary

Building Design Partnership Limited in London is seeking an architect with a few years of qualified experience and a strong design portfolio. You will balance design and technical work, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to projects from inception through to completion.

You should be proficient in Creative Suite and Revit, able to work under tight deadlines, and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality spaces across diverse contexts.

Job description

Following recent wins on exciting new projects, we are seeking talented, design focused Architects to join our London studio. We are interested in strong, well-rounded architects who are passionate about high quality design and best practice construction methods. Ideally, you will have a few years’ experience working as a qualified architect with evidence of strong conceptual design skills and knowledge of building construction.

You will have a good balance of design and technical skills. You will be a strong Creative suite and Revit user, with an aptitude to share knowledge and mentor junior team members. Your portfolio will reflect your skills on a range of projects.

Ideally, you will have experience of projects from inception to completion. You will be able to demonstrate a collaborative team-working style and work productively in design teams with people at all levels and from all backgrounds, be able to work to tight deadlines and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

About you

You will be a qualified Architect or equivalent.

A minimum of 1-2 years UK experience.

Skills

• A strong design and delivery portfolio
• Freehand drawing / sketching / model making
• A fluent user of MS Office, InDesign and photoshop
• Rendering packages of various types
• Microsoft Access and Excel skills useful

Personal skills

• Have the confidence and ability to present and explain ideas
• Be proficient in managing tight deadlines
• Be able to develop partnerships with the other professions within BDP recognising and understanding their differing requirements
• Be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Have a strong interest in working on Heritage, Culture and Education projects
• Be resident in UK for a minimum of 3 years out of the last 5 years
• An enthusiastic and proactive character
