The Vacancy

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Surveyor to join our Wates team within our responsive maintenance division. You will be working out of our Walsall office on one of our social housing contracts.

Key Accountabilities

• Produce commercial reports both internally and externally.
• Ensure the timely receipt of quotations for materials, equipment, and subcontract works; undertake commercial assessment of quotes received; ensure the timely placement of orders on advantageous terms to facilitate project delivery and meet business objectives.
• Regularly complete on-site measurements and take-offs.
• Ensure all contractual processes are completed on time.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with a good work ethic who can work under a Project Surveyor and within a team of Surveyors of varying experience levels.

To succeed, you should be able to liaise effectively with clients and possess personal skills to build strong relationships with the team.
