Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking an Assistant Survey Manager to join a well-established surveying business operating across the Northwest and Yorkshire. You will balance office-based quality checks with occasional site support, with a clear path to a Survey Manager role.

You’ll review processing outputs using AutoCAD, N4ce and Reg360, mentor junior surveyors and help scale the team, while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Background in land/topographical surveying and quality checking deliverables.
• Experience with processing software such as AutoCAD, N4ce and Reg360.
• Willingness to train and develop junior surveyors.

Responsibilities

• Quality checking survey works and outputs before issue to the client.
• Reviewing processing / deliverables using AutoCAD, N4ce and Reg360.
• Training and supporting junior surveyors, with some site supervision.
• Covering sites across the North West and Yorkshire (typically within an hour radius).
• Office-based, hours 8:00 - 4:30.

Assistant Survey Manager

£35,000 - £42,000 + Progression to Survey Manager + Training & Development + Overtime + Quarterly Bonus

Blackburn, Lancashire (Commutable from: Preston, , Burnley, Lancaster, Chorley, Accrington, Bolton, Skipton) Are you a Land Surveyor, Utility Surveyor or Measured Building Surveyor looking to come off the tools and step into a role where you'll be trusted to check quality, support a team and progress into a Survey Manager position? On offer is a long-term role with a well-established specialist surveying business, where you'll combine office-based checking / processing with regular site-based support, giving you a clear step up in responsibility without losing touch with the technical work. This company deliver topographical surveying, laser scanning and PAS128 utility surveying across water treatment, construction, civils and highways. Due to continued growth plans (with ambitious expansion targets through to 2030), they're looking to add an experienced surveyor who can raise standards, develop junior staff and help the team scale. In this role you'll be a key point of contact for quality control, checking survey outputs before they go to the client, reviewing data processing, and training junior surveyors on best practice. You'll be mainly office based with the occasional site visits covering mainly the Northwest and Yorkshire.
