Job summary

Warrens Bakery Limited in Exeter is opening a brand-new store and seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help lead the team. The role is part-time with guaranteed hours, weekends, and a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences in a busy retail environment.

You will work closely with the Store Manager, support daily operations, and help shape a positive, customer-focused culture while participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.

• Must be 18 or over.

• Exemplify brilliant customer service and maintain our high standards in health, safety, and food hygiene.
• Develop sales by display and merchandising of stock, customer care, correct ordering of stock and efficient use of well-trained staff.
• Assist the manager in motivating and training the team to ensure our high standards are maintained at all times and oversee daily store operations.
• Manage hiring, performance, scheduling, and task assignment for the team.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure functionality and presentation of the store.

Assistant Store Managers, Permanent, Part-time

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting new venture from the very beginning, helping to shape a high-performing team, build strong community connections, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. As Assistant Store Manager, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to support the day-to-day running of the store and help create a positive, customer-focused culture.

Role 1

• Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
• Working 5 days out of 7, including weekends
• Approximately 16-24 hours per week
• Flexible 2 or 3-day working pattern, depending on the successful candidate’s requirements
• Additional hours may be available depending on business needs

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Due to the tasks involved within this role, you must be 18 or over.
