Job summary

Warrens Bakery Limited in Bridgwater (Shell Co-op) is recruiting an Assistant Store Manager for our brand-new store. You will support the Store Manager, help launch a high-performing team, and deliver excellent customer experiences.

This role guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, starts around 8 December 2026 with training at our Cullompton store; perks include £13.02/hour, flexible hours, uniform provided, ongoing training, and store incentives.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A love of coffee and an appreciation for creating great customer experience.
• Comfortable working independently, including periods of lone working, whilst remaining part of a wider retail team environment.
• Able to reliably travel to the store for shifts starting from 5:30am and flexible to work across the store’s trading hours, including weekends and bank holidays where required.
• Must be 18 or over.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify brilliant customer service and maintain our high standards in health, safety, and food hygiene.
• Develop sales by display and merchandising of stock, customer care, correct ordering of stock and efficient use of well-trained staff.
• Assist the manager in motivating and training the team to ensure our high standards are maintained at all times and oversee daily store operations.
• Manage hiring, performance, scheduling, and task assignment for the team.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure functionality and presentation of the store.
