Aesop is delighted to welcome applications for the Assistant Store Manager position at our St James Quarter space in Edinburgh. You will work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, guide customers to the right products and uphold our high standards in a premium retail environment.

This full-time, on-site role includes weekends and offers opportunities for professional development, strong merchandising and a focus on inclusive customer experiences that contribute to store success.

Qualifications

• Experience in a people management role within a customer service environment.
• Proven track record of effective selling skills and driving commercial outcomes.
• History of leading a team and fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to use empathy to manage interpersonal relationships.
• Open mindset with curiosity to understand diverse perspectives and listen without judgement.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and merchandising skills.
• Working knowledge of skin care and related products is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate the store team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Provide operational, administrative and leadership support on-site and during weekends.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to achieve commercial goals while maintaining Aesop standards.
