Job summary

The White Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead the Aberdeen store and support overall performance. You will work closely with the Store Manager to translate plans into action, upholding brand standards, service quality and a premium customer experience.

You will coach and develop the store team, support recruitment and onboarding, and step up to store leadership when required. A proactive, customer-focused leader with strong problem-solving skills will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a retail environment.
• Proven ability to lead by example and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong understanding of KPIs and store priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching, and motivating the store team.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive culture with clear expectations and regular feedback.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and induction of new team members.
• Manage performance, conduct, and absence conversations with guidance.
• Act as a visible leader on the shop floor and provide direction during busy periods.
• Take ownership of operational areas and drive customer-centric standards.
• Oversee store sales, payroll, stock targets, and daily operations.
• Review trading information and turn insights into practical actions.
