Job summary

British Heart Foundation in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and to lead a team of staff and volunteers. The role requires flexible working 5 days out of 7, including weekends and bank holidays, to meet customer demand.

You will drive customer service excellence, meet sales targets, and contribute to stock, merchandising, and campaign activities while fostering an inclusive and motivating work environment.

Responsibilities

• As an Assistant Store Manager, you support the Store Manager with day-to-day running of the store and take full responsibility in their absence.
• Inspiring and supporting staff and volunteers to deliver an excellent customer journey reflecting our values.
• Ensure highest standard of customer service and achieve targets.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and maximise sales through physical and digital channels.
• Assist with recruitment and development of volunteers and support with stock generation and campaigns.
