Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Oxford location.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, supervise staff, and ensure rapid resolution of customer inquiries to maintain a friendly shopping environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior store management experience in retail or grocery.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional display effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, organized store and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety and policies.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
