Cancer Research UK is seeking a motivated Retail Assistant Manager for our Catterick Garrison Superstore. You will support the Store Manager, lead a diverse team of staff and volunteers, and help drive sales and fundraising in a high-volume charity retail environment.

With 37.5 hours a week on a permanent contract, you will optimise stock and displays, build community relationships, and contribute to Cancer Research UK's important mission, while enjoying a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Commercial awareness with success hitting sales and profit targets.
• Experience managing a large, diverse team.
• Comfort working to targets and motivating others to achieve.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume retail environment.
• Creativity and willingness to seek innovative ways of working.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Flexible rota-based schedule to cover store needs.

Responsabilités

• Support the superstore manager in guiding and developing a large team of staff and volunteers.
• Manage display, merchandising, stock, and shop standards.
• Work with targets for donated stock, cash, gift aid, average selling price, sell-through and stock processing.
• Assist with the processing systems for movement and distribution of large volumes of donations across shops and eCommerce.
• Lead by example with excellent customer and supporter service.
• Build relationships with local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues to generate income and stock.
• Support fundraising events and deputise for the store manager.
