Job summary

Vision Express is seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager for our Cheshunt Tesco store. You will support the Store Manager to lead a team, drive sales performance through KPI management, and maintain exceptional customer experiences day-to-day.

You'll coach and develop colleagues, recruit and onboard new team members, and ensure operational excellence and compliance. This role offers progression opportunities within a global eyewear leader and a supportive, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a supervisor, team leader, deputy manager or Assistant Store Manager.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience developing and motivating teams to achieve results.
• Good understanding of performance management processes.
• Commercial awareness and confidence using KPIs to improve performance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to support the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions and on-the-job training.

• Lead the shop floor and take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence.

This Assistant Store Manager opportunity is ideal for someone with previous retail leadership experience who is ready to further develop their career in a supportive and customer-focused environment. Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll help lead the team, drive commercial performance, and ensure the store delivers consistently high standards.

What You'll Do
