Job summary

Clarks in Bracknell is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in guiding daily store operations and leading the retail team to hit performance targets.

The role blends leadership, customer service, and operational management, requiring a hands-on approach to ensure smooth store running and achievement of goals. Weekend and bank holiday shifts are expected, with opportunities to develop and progress within Clarks.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail leadership or supervisory roles.
• Ability to drive KPIs and store performance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead a team.
• Organised, proactive and with problem-solving abilities.
• Flexible to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading daily store operations.
• Coach and develop the retail team to meet targets.
• Ensure excellent customer service and loss prevention.
• Oversee inventory, stock control and POS accuracy.

About the role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations. This role is a blend of leadership, customer service, and operational management. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can step in wherever needed to ensure the store runs smoothly and meets performance goals.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in retail leadership, supervisory, or keyholder roles preferred.
• Comfortable in driving KPI’s and results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong communication and Solid organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work a7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.
