Job summary

Clarks in Bridgend, UK is seeking a proactive Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and delivering excellent customer service.

The role blends leadership, daily operations, and hands-on problem solving. You’ll drive KPI results, inspire a team, and ensure store standards are consistently met across a busy schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail leadership or supervisory roles.
• Ability to drive KPI performance and results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with leadership ability.

• Willingness to work a 7-day shift pattern including weekends/holidays.

About the role:

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations. This role is a blend of leadership, customer service, and operational management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can step in wherever needed to ensure the store runs smoothly and meets performance goals.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in retail leadership, supervisory, or keyholder roles preferred.
• Comfortable in driving KPI’s and results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong communication and Solid organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work a7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.
