Job summary

bp retail is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to lead the forecourt and store operations, including the Wild Bean Cafe, and to energise a team to excel in safety, service and performance.

You will prioritise the safety of customers and colleagues, ensure legal compliance across food safety and forecourt operations, and drive continuous improvement through listening to customers.

• Leadership/retail experience to energise a team in safety, customer service, operations and team activities.
• Ability to manage safety, customer service and operations in a retail setting.
• Experience in staffing, recruitment and people-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and all aspects of the forecourt and store operations, including Wild Bean Cafe.
• Prioritise safety of yourself, your team and the customer in line with bp policies and procedures.
• Ensure legal and safety compliance through all store operations (food safety, underage sales, forecourt operations).
• Support the team’s management including engagement, development, training, recruitment and other people tasks.

What we’re looking for

We seek managers with strong leadership or retail experience who can support and energize a team to excel in safety, customer service, operations, and team activities.

What you are responsible for

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the team and all aspects of the forecourt and store operations, including our Wild Bean Cafe.

• Making sure that safety of yourself, your team, and the customer, in line with bp policies and procedures, is your top priority
• Ensure legal and safety compliance through all of the store’s operations e.g., food safety, underage sales, forecourt operations
• Working with the team to deliver great customer service at every level through getting the basics right and listening to our customers and driving continuous improvement
• As an Assistant Store Manager, it will be your responsibility to support with the team’s management, including engagement of the store team, development, training, recruitment, and other people related tasks.
