Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager/Finishing Foreman for a residential development in the Bedford area. You will oversee finishing trades, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure NHBC-ready handovers while maintaining top quality and safety standards.

Key requirements include proven finishing foreman experience in housebuilding, CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, a First Aid at Work certificate, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Finishing Foreman within residential housebuilding.
• Strong knowledge of internal and external finishing trades.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and meet tight deadlines.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid at Work.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage all finishing works across a busy residential housing development.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
• Carry out quality inspections and snagging, ensuring defects are rectified promptly.
• Prepare plots for NHBC inspections and customer handovers.
• Work closely with the Site Manager to ensure build programmes are achieved.
• Maintain excellent health and safety standards on site.
• Ensure all plots are completed in line with company quality standards and programme requirements.
• Liaise with Customer Care and Sales teams where required to ensure smooth completions.
