Job summary

Thorn Baker Group in Leicester is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a new build housing development. You will support the Site Manager with day-to-day operations and coordinate subcontractors to maintain safety, programme and quality.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience, knowledge of NHBC standards, and qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid. A proactive, quality-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build housing developments.
• Good knowledge of NHBC standards and quality requirements.
• Experience with traditional build construction methods.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of a new build housing development.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor build quality and ensure compliance with NHBC standards and health and safety regulations.
• Oversee construction progress, ensuring deadlines and build programmes are achieved.
• Help drive quality throughout the build process, from construction through to customer handover.
