Job summary

ARC (Norwich) Ltd seeks an experienced Assistant Site Manager for a permanent role based in Heybridge, Essex. You will support day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout residential developments.

The ideal candidate has a Level 4 NVQ in Construction Site Supervision or equivalent, experience with traditional build housing, and a solid understanding of NHBC requirements, with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have Level 4 NVQ in Construction Site Supervision or equivalent.
• Experience with traditional build residential housing.
• Knowledge of NHBC standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day running of a residential development.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to meet safety and quality standards.
• Monitor build progress against programme and address delays.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specs, regs and NHBC standards.
• Maintain site quality inspections and issue prompt defect rectification.
• Promote health and safety culture and assist with inductions and risk assessments.
• Manage materials, deliveries and site logistics to ensure resources are available.
• Support customer care and handover activities.
