Job summary

Berkeley Group plc is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for its Slough development (Horlicks Quarter). You will coordinate internal works from second fix to handover, maintain the programme with the Senior Site Team, and drive safety and quality on site to support superior customer outcomes.

The role requires hands-on experience in residential construction, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple trades on a fast-paced site.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential construction or property development.
• Experience managing packages or blocks on fast-paced developments.
• Hands-on oversight of internal works from second fix to completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to motivate site teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver all internal works from second fix to completion and handover.
• Work with Senior Site Team, consultants and subcontractors to maintain programme and resolve on-site challenges.
• Monitor progress of second fix activities and escalate risks to minimise delays.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Senior Site Team with progress updates.
• Build strong working relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders to support a productive site environment.
• Promote a positive, professional culture in line with Berkeley Group values and ways of working.
• Drive a strong Health & Safety culture on site, ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
• Ensure works meet statutory requirements, Berkeley standards and site processes.
• Monitor quality of finishes and workmanship and address defects promptly.
• Maintain digital quality records and documentation using Fieldview EDMS.
• Support high customer satisfaction and strong IHR scores.
