Job summary

Lovell Renew, part of the Morgan Sindall Group, is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager for a permanent on-site role in Essex. You will support the delivery of retrofit solutions across SHDF and related funded programmes, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while coordinating engineers and subcontractors.

You will work within the decarbonisation team to lead project delivery, manage client requests, and help drive efficient performance in line with budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role with P&L and budget management.
• Experience delivering retrofit, sustainability and planned maintenance projects.
• Knowledge of SHDF/ funded retrofit programmes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager to ensure client enquiries and issues are actioned
• Assist in managing engineers and subcontractors on site
• Provide technical support and performance management
• Ensure works are delivered safely and in compliance with funding requirements

Full Time, 40 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, one hour lunch

About the Role

In accordance with our best practice and governance standards, you'll support the effective delivery of retrofit solutions in line with each client's commitments to external funders, as well as energy projects including wall and loft insulation, window and door replacements, ventilation and draughtproofing, low/no-carbon heating, lighting and energy installations.

Working within our Decarbonisation team, you will support the delivery of Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) and other funded retrofit programmes, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with quality, compliance and funding requirements.

You will support the Site Manager to ensure all client enquiries, issues and requests are actioned and resolved within appropriate timescales, while assisting in the effective management of engineers and subcontractors, providing support on technical issues and performance management.

About You

• Candidates will have proven experience in a similar role, with an understanding of profit and loss accounting, budget management and retrofit/sustainability work programmes.
• Knowledge and experience of delivering retrofit, sustainability and planned maintenance projects.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
• Experience of working on Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) projects or other funded retrofit programmes would be highly desirable.
• Understanding of PAS 2030/2035 requirements and energy efficiency measures within occupied social housing properties.
