Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a 6-month contract in Milton Keynes to deliver SHDF-funded upgrades across social housing properties. You will oversee daily site operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires a strong background in social housing refurbishments or energy efficiency projects, with SMSTS and CSCS cards, and knowledge of SHDF/PAS standards being highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven site management experience in social housing, refurbishments, or retrofit projects.
• NVQ in Site Management or related construction trade with SMSTS/CSCS.
• Knowledge of SHDF or PAS retrofit standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across social housing properties, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, and on schedule.
• Supervise sub-contractors and trades installing Solar PV, ASHP, Loft Insulation, and Cavity Wall Insulation.
• Enforce Health & Safety standards on-site and maintain records/compliance logs.
• Act as the primary site contact for residents, client representatives, and trade teams.

Job Title: Site Manager - Social Housing Decarbonisation

Location: Milton Keynes

Rate: £23.58 per hour PAYE

Contract Duration: 6 Months (Temporary contract through to end of March)

Are you an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in social housing maintenance or domestic energy retrofits? We are recruiting a Site Manager for a 6-month contract in Milton Keynes to deliver essential upgrade works under the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF).

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across social housing properties, ensuring works are completed safely, to specification, and on schedule.

• Supervise sub-contractors and trades installing Solar PV, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), Loft Insulation, and Cavity Wall Insulation.

• Enforce strict Health & Safety standards on-site and maintain clear records/compliance logs.

• Act as the primary site contact for residents, client representatives, and trade teams.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven site management experience within social housing, residential refurbishments, or energy efficiency/decarbonisation projects.

• Qualifications: Relevant NVQ in Site Management / Construction Trades, along with SMSTS and a valid CSCS Card.

• Knowledge: Familiarity with SHDF or PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 retrofit standards is highly advantageous.
