Job summary

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in West Bridgford is opening a brand-new charity shop and seeks an Assistant Shop Manager to help launch the store and build a welcoming, high-performing retail environment.

Reporting to the Shop Manager, you will lead volunteers, drive sales and donations, and ensure exceptional customer service while growing income to support Rainbows' vital work in the East Midlands.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience in a busy customer-facing environment.
• Able to motivate and support volunteers to succeed.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager to maximise sales and profitability.
• Create an attractive, engaging and well-stocked shopping environment.
• Recruit, develop and motivate volunteers.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build community support.
• Drive donations and promote Gift Aid sign-ups.
• Help achieve income and profit targets and identify growth opportunities.
• Dep for the Shop Manager when required.
