Job summary

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People is opening a brand-new West Bridgford shop and seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Shop Manager. You’ll work with the Shop Manager to create a welcoming, vibrant shopping environment and to maximise income to support Rainbows’ vital work.

You’ll recruit and develop volunteers, promote Gift Aid and help achieve sales targets while delivering excellent customer service in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience.
• Comfort with customer service in busy settings.
• Ability to supervise and motivate volunteers.
• Reliable driver with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager to maximise sales and profitability.
• Create an engaging, well-stocked shopping environment.
• Recruit, develop and motivate volunteers.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build community support.
• Drive donations and promote Gift Aid sign-ups.
• Help achieve income targets and identify growth opportunities.
• Deputise for the Shop Manager when required.
