Job summary

Cover People UK is recruiting for an Assistant SENDCo in North Manchester to support the SENDCo in delivering tailored SEND provision across a large secondary school. The role starts 1st September and is initially for a full term with potential permanence for the right candidate.

This senior position requires initiative, strong organisational skills and collaborative working within a dedicated SEND team, across meetings with external agencies and families.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant SENDCo is highly desirable.
• Candidates with experience in SEND coordination or similar roles are encouraged to apply.
• Senior position requiring initiative, strong organisation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support the SENDCo with day-to-day management of SEND provision across the school.
• Coordinate meetings with parents/carers, external agencies and professionals.
• Assist with EHCP reviews and SEND administration.
• Liaise with teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure appropriate support for students.
• Promote inclusive teaching practices and monitor student progress.
