Job description

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced Assistant SENCo for one of our Oldbury, Sandwell, West Midlands (B69) based primary schools. If you are a SEND experienced education professional, who is available immediately and are able to travel to Sandwell we would be keen to speak with you.

This primary school based Assistant SENCo job is offered on an ongoing basis, likely for the full academic year. Ideally the school are seeking someone Monday to Friday, however a shorter working week will also be considered (2 day minimum). Your typical working pattern will be 8.30am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch break, and we can also offer some flexible options to assist with any travel. Some before and after school hours may be required on occasion and overtime would be paid for these. Examples of these include Parents’ evenings and parent consultations. The role is solely focussed on the duties of an Assistant SENCo and is non-class based. You will be supporting the current SENCo with paperwork, bringing a fresh perspective on processes and during observations of nurture groups.

Proposed start date: September 2026

Daily rate: £123.21 to £180 per day
