What you’ll be doing
As Assistant Security Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Security Manager and the London Security Function in providing a safe and secure environment within our London working spaces. This includes both the physical and technical protection systems.
The role is ideal for an individual with experience in supporting Security Systems Management with additional experience of Security Contracts.
What your day might look like
Security Management:
· Support the Security Manager to ensure that contract staff are proactive, innovative and effective, that staff are appropriately qualified/licensed, regularly trained and have the necessary skills and awareness to perform their role
· Support Incident Response and Business Continuity Planning
· Support the maintenance of all operational documentation and procedures, initiate security projects in a timely and orderly manner, oversee project development and delivery, participate as part of other project teams
· Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with Christie’s Global security, insurance and risk standards, local laws and regulations, and Christie’s Policies
· Support the training of Security Systems Apprentice.
Installation and Maintenance:
· Read and interpret floor plans/schematics, technical documents and manuals
· I nstallation and setup of security systems, including cameras, alarms, and access control systems
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure all security systems are functioning correctly
· Replace or repair faulty equipment
· Maintain equipment stock levels and order equipment where required
· Work closely with external contractors on larger projects
· Install new and troubleshoot existing C-Cure 9000 Systems.
Monitoring:
· Setup dashboards to support the monitoring of security feeds and alert systems
· Help review surveillance footage and access logs as needed
· Review daily and weekly check reports and ensure faults raised are rectified in a timely manner.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of installations and maintenance activities (floor plans, inventory sheets, programming sheets)
· Prepare reports on security system performance and incidents.
Collaboration:
· Work closely with the Security Team, Operations and Specialist Art Departments to ensure seamless security operations
· Design and install ad-hoc security system arrangements to support sale views
· Offer support during auctions as security point of contact.
Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure adherence to all relevant security codes of practice and legal requirements
· Assist in conducting regular security audits and risk assessments
· Observe Christie’s Health + Safety requirements
· Attend training (internal and external)
