Job summary

Park Holidays UK is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Stowford Farm Meadows, Combe Martin.

You will support the Retail Manager across all park retail operations, driving sales, managing a retail team, and ensuring excellent guest service in a busy holiday park environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Complex Management, preferably within the retail or hospitality sector.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proactive and able to work under pressure, with good decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.
• This role is subject to a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Manager in recruiting, training, and managing the retail team.
• Control retail aspects within the park, including beverage stock and financial controls.
• Work towards sales targets and manage costs to maximise profitability.
• Coordinate stock ordering, rotation, and regular stocktakes.
• Plan and implement merchandising initiatives to promote sales.
• Manage the cellar and storage to ensure quality and minimise wastage.
• Ensure staff have product knowledge to drive sales opportunities.
• Support in maximizing bar and food sales opportunities and maintain service standards.
• Prepare and manage budgets for resources; deputise for the Retail Manager when absent.
