Vacancy type: Permanent, part-time

Location: Langney Store

Salary: £13,333.32 per annum + benefits

Hours per week: 21 pw

As an Assistant Retail Manager, you will support the team to boost sales, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of stock presentation and store cleanliness.

You will be responsible for:
  • Assisting the Retail Manager in maximizing sales through high standards of display, stock rotation, and pricing.
  • Keeping up-to-date with merchandising trends and competition.
  • Maximizing Gift Aid income and managing display and administration of goods to minimize stock loss.
  • Engaging with customers, coaching volunteers and staff to promote donations, charity add-ons, and loyalty schemes.
  • Engaging with the community to encourage donations, recruitment, and involvement.
  • Supporting recruitment and management of volunteers, ensuring compliance with Marie Curie procedures.
  • Taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Retail Manager.
Key Criteria:
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in fashion/clothing.
  • Experience in cash handling and sales record management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and workload prioritization.
  • Understanding of health and safety in retail.
  • Experience in volunteer management is desirable.
